OK, I have been kicking around a new, simple rub, and this one is pretty good. As always, its published under the BBQOSL. This is for a small batch, say 1-2 slabs of ribs:

  • 1 TBSP fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 TBSP kosher salt (you may want less if the meat is pumped like cryovac ribs)
  • 1-1/2 TSP garlic powder
  • 1-1/2 TSP onion powder
  • 1-1/2 TSP turbinado sugar (or brown if that's what you have)
  • 1 TSP paprika

Mix with fingers and rub away! Its a great all-purpose rub.
